As marine debris becomes a critical global issue, leveraging AI technology to enhance environmental monitoring is a major international trend. To accelerate the digital transformation of marine governance, this "International AI Challenge for Marine Debris Image Recognition" will release a high-quality marine debris image dataset. We invite outstanding talents from global academia, research institutions, industry, and tech communities to develop high-precision object detection models. Teams are not strictly required to have non-citizen members; however, teams that include non-citizens (excluding citizens of Mainland China) from any country (not limited to the Indo-Pacific region) are welcome.Teams with a higher proportion of non-citizen members will receive priority selection. Teams must submit resumes, past notable achievements, and background information of members during registration for the preliminary round. The organizer will review these submissions based on the aforementioned priority principle to determine the final list of participants.How to RegisterPlease visit the competition event page to register for the competition.Registration is team-based, with 2 to 5 members per team.
